Hobart Paving have partnerships with local authorities, large national contractors and smaller private organisations to assist with enabling works, groundworks, and landscaping for small and large scale construction projects.
Enabling Works
Enabling works is everything that needs to be done in order to make the project ready for construction. It can cover activities from site preparation, creation of access routes, and the installation of facilities like access roads, security fencing, ramps, and the placing of signs around the site.
Groundworks
The term ‘groundworks’ refers to all work that is carried out in order to prepare sub-surfaces for the start of construction work. Aside from any demolition or site enabling works that may be required, groundworks are usually the first stage of a construction project and may include:
- Ground investigation
- Substructure and ground stabilisation works
- Site clearance
- Site services
Landscaping
Landscaping may include earthworks to remodel the site and hard landscape surfacing of roads and car parks. Hardscaping is normally made up of hard wearing materials such as wood, stone, concrete etc.
